Dress & Appearance

Care Providers advise all temporary workers to maintain appropriate standards of dress and appearance while working at a client's premises. This advice is part of our commitment to the optimal levels of professionalism. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.

The suitable uniform as indicated below should be worn in full for all duties in hospitals, nursing homes and industries unless otherwise stated.

Black, brown or white duty shoes
Minimal make-up and jewellery

Plain white short-sleeve dress or plain white tunic
Belt: RN "Royal Blue, EN " Green, Auxiliary " Burgundy
Trousers: RN " Royal Blue, EN " Green, Auxiliary " Burgundy

Plain white tunic
Black or grey trousers

Paediatric nurses (only if advised)
Polo shirt: RN " Royal Blue, EN " Green, Auxiliary " Burgundy

Identity badges must be worn at all times and trained staff should always carry their NMC (UKCC) pin card or other proof of qualification eg, HPC. A client may request that nurses dress otherwise for specific assignments. However, identity badges must still be worn and be clearly visible.

Nurses are responsible for the purchase of their own uniforms.
